No. Most volunteer roles are straightforward, and event leads will help you get oriented when you arrive.
Yes. Registration lets you review available volunteer opportunities and choose from the shifts that are currently open.
Sign in to your volunteer account and open My Schedule. Your current assignments, dates, times, and positions will be shown there.
Open VMS on your phone, request check-in for the correct shift, then scan your personal QR code at an authorized kiosk. Wait for Check-In Complete before leaving the kiosk.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that work well for standing and moving around. Some positions involve more lifting or movement than others.
A few minutes early is helpful. It gives you time to check in, get oriented, and report to your assigned work area before your shift begins.
Use Forgot Password from the sign-in page. If you have never created a personal password, open Volunteer Welcome for first-time sign-in instructions.
Open Verify Hours and enter the document information printed on the official Newport Ski Swap volunteer hours record.
